As far as political hot potatoes go, global warming is turning into one scalding hot little tuber. The response of policy makers to the scientific and public opinion surrounding this issue over the coming decades could well be remembered as a pivotal point in human history. It could be, but perhaps all this fuss around climate change and all sorts of inconvenient truths is unwarranted. Don’t get me wrong, I believe that the world is warming at a statistically and practically significant level, but I’m just struggling to buy into what is becoming an ever more prevalent view in society.
